About Me

Hello! I’m Rachel Mackin. I hold a master’s degree in digital ​marketing, a bachelor’s degree in marketing, and a minor in ​social media and digital content creation. With three years of ​experience in the social media management industry, I’m eager ​to continue expanding my knowledge and skills.

I specialize in content creation, product photo shoots, graphic ​design, market research, and social media strategy. My work ​spans various sectors, including fashion boutiques, textile ​artistry, events, and aesthetics. Each experience has deepened ​my appreciation and curiosity for the ever-evolving world of ​social media management.

Campaign for the “ It Girl Collection” ​launch for MOss Boutique

For this campaign, our inspiration was ​Gilmore girls, Clueless, and Legally ​Blonde. This collection was filled with ​classic fall pieces that appeal to women ​ages 18-35. I was in charge of creating a set ​of 6 short form videos and linking the ​products to TikTok shop.

Tasks:


  • Plan and accessorize ​outfits to the theme
  • Come up with a location
  • Locate trending sounds to ​use within the videos
  • Plan captions, hashtags, ​and schedule posts.
  • Link products to TikTok ​shop.

Instagram Account Audit for GLOW by Shannon, a ​mobile spray tanning business. Her main struggles were ​reaching new clients on social media and consistently ​posting.


Tasks

  • Tips to optimize of profile
  • Identify brand voice
  • 5 Story highlight ideas
  • Competitive analysis (SWOT)
  • Community management tips
  • Content ideas custom to the business’ niche market
  • Review of engagement metrics and demographics

For this audit, I ​recommended to ​implement posting 2-3 ​times per week and review ​the engagement data with ​a couple weeks of ​consistency.

Additionally I included ​30+ video and photo ideas ​as inspiration for new ​types of content.

Mock IG Feed transformation for Ali ​Michelle Co. a digital designer that ​creates graphic art work for sweatshirts ​and stickers.

The main concerns with this account were the stock image ​usage, lack of variety in posts, and consistency of posts.


Tasks/Advice

  • Posting “trendy” or holiday products well ahead of time ​to reach more consumers before launching on the ​companies Etsy page.
  • Posting a variety of content including behind the scenes, ​customer reviews/photos, personal branding, sticker ​collections, custom designs.
  • I see the sticker posts perform best on this account, I ​think this is due to the fact that the majority of the other ​photos are stock images. While I think stock images can ​provide details, I don’t think they are the best to convert ​to sales.
  • Leaning into the girly, young and fun vibe would appeal ​to this target market to effectively grow the accounts ​audience.
